Candidates will create, monitor and manage the submittal log. Coordinate material and take off procurement, submittals and delivery of material to jobs as needed. Assist with coordinating the work of General Contractor, Sub Contractors, Inspectors, Designers, and other tecnical support personnal to meet project schedules. Assist with systems trouble-shooting.Assist in verifying applicable system component operation, including sub-systems interaction, including periodic site inspections for quality control during construction. Job Title: Business Manager - Service Division

Based in Hampton, the position of Business Manager will Assist the Vice President of Service Division in the development and implementation of Service Division goals, objectives, and future plans. Coordinate with the Human Resource Manager all hiring needs and employee relation issues. Provide direction, leadership, moral tone, training, and motivation for support staff. Organize, prioritize and manage the day to day financial and administrative activities of the Service Division. Manage and maintain control over Service Division accounts receivable, accounts payable, job costing, and other financial and accounting applications.
Assist with generating over/under billings at month end for fixed price and time & material jobs. Oversee the technical application design, construction and implementation for assigned accounts and projects. Responsible for coordination of piping, plumbing, HVAC controls, ductwork, insulation, and fire protection trades on commercial and industrial projects. Coordinate our work with the general contractor, subcontractors, inspectors, designers, and other technical support personnel to meet project schedules and quality assurance. Coordinate material takeoff, procurement, submittals, and delivery of material to the job when needed. Estimate change orders and new work related to the project; submit for approval; monitor approval status and ensure work is carried out upon approval. Monitor project labor and material budget. Assist with commissioning, startup, trouble shooting, and punch list close out. Demonstrated skills with project management tools and methodologies, computer literate and problem solving. Demonstrated success in the leading and managing of people in a team-based environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to meet stated customer initiated deadlines. Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting as requested. Ensure effective handoff to service department for ongoing maintenance and trouble shooting. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelors degree and/or 5 + years of project management experience in the construction / contracting industry is required. Timberline experience is a plus.
